Enjoyed this read, as I’m eyeing Copenhagen around my birthday in February! (I like the cold.) Did you travel anywhere else while you were there? I know Malmo is super easy but not sure about what else is realistic to combine with it.

HI Carla! I am so glad you enjoyed this and you can definitely ask any other questions about Copenhagen. Malmo is very close! I debated adding on or doing a day trip but I was already headed to the Faroe Islands after CPH to run a half marathon and be a tourist and was kind of (not really) conserving my energy for the race. I think it is realistic to add it. You could go to Malmo and onward to Stockholm too if you wanted or maybe make the Malmo add-on a weekend as part of a longer Copenhagen trip. Excited to hear what you plan!

I have a friend who did a gap year in Copenhagen and just raves about it. I’m also mostly Swedish so I’d love to spend more time in that region of the world. What a lovely recap! And I so appreciate the shout out for dialoguing—so kind!!

Oh my gosh a gap year in CPH would be so great! I wonder how much Danish she learned while there? I am glad that you enjoyed the recap.

And you're welcome for the shoutout. :) I always enjoy your writing.

That is a good question I never asked. She was with a bunch other expats who spoke Spanish and French. I’m not sure how much that would have helped her get around.

I hear so many great things about Copenhagen! Looks like it's an easy 2 hour connection for me in Philly with this new route and it's not that pricey?? Onto the list it must go. That is a high quality tip right there. Thank you for looking out for us East Coast folks down here! I'm also very interested in this dill cocktail you mentioned. I tried to find a cocktail menu on the restaurant website but no luck (I did however accidentally find a QR code to be a whistleblower??). What was it like? Was it a cucumber-y situation?

Oohhh, put it on your list! Since I've been there in late spring, I'd even go in the colder months and just deal with the rain, cold, and dark but it was really nice in early June. The dill cocktail was made with a type of herbal or floral aquavit. I wish I remembered the name and ingredients exactly but it was light and refreshing!

I looked at their website and also saw the whistleblower thing and I was so curious I had to look it up. Same meaning as in North American English and now I am so curious about why it is on the menu.

It sounds so good. I'll have to see if I can find something herbaly/floraly along those lines! I'm glad I'm not alone anymore on the whistleblower menu mystery! Now I'll just have to visit the place to ask them myself, logically.
