I found myself trying to think of some kind of reader's passport where you can visit different libraries and you're rewarded with a small library/reading-themed gift for each one you visit. No good ideas yet
I think the Austrian National Library is my favorite - it's giving Beauty & the Beast. Ugh, so many places I want to see and so little time (and money ha!). A train/library trip - now we're talking. I actually bought the US National Parks passport this summer and there is something very satisfying about getting that baby stamped. I think you are onto something!
I agree! I could spend hours in a bookstore and I don't know why that is. But, I do like seeing different covers of books from country to country. My to-read shelf is overflowing so I have a copy of The Ministry of Time that I bought at an English bookstore in Berlin over the summer and have not read yet so it is in my view daily and the cover is just different enough from the North American version that I am a little startled every time I see it in bookstores here.
