Tourism in Tanzania is indeed more than just safaris but frankly, I love that part. I think developing the beach areas and upgrading airports is essential, and your comments about overtourism especially in the Serengeti are too important to ignore. The measures being taken for sustainability in travel are essential and I appreciate you outlining them. THANK YOU! I would like to quote you with your permission.

Hi Judith! Thank you for reading and for your comment. I agree with you that the safaris are special and a critical part of tourism in Tanzania. The animals and plants and culture seen on safari are a critical part of the ecosystem in the country as well. The locals I encountered on the mainland and on Zanzibar care a lot about the environment and protecting it. You are very welcome to quote me. If you want to talk further, I'm happy to. I'll be going more in dept next issue. :)

We overlap businesses, I think. I’m a travel advisor in the USA, and part of the Virtuoso Sustainability Community. I’m particularly concerned about overtourism which is damaging on so many levels. I think it might be easiest to restack your post because I think you’ve addressed so much of what concerns me. BTW, I have been to Tanzania several times - most recently, in 2016, we saw no rhinos. There were about two in the Ngorongoro Crater but no way to get near to them. We have to do better.
